#47 - Really Smart Emails (2)
Continuing from Jfoo’s new series last week (it’s called really smart emails, where we share emails we find cool) - you’re really going to like this one if you’re running a product launch into this BFCM/Q4.
Enter Sunnies Face
They start off with a subject line that feels like it’s an email from a friend.

Then, a short blurb from the founder, sharing about how Sunnies Face came about, how they’re digging the reviews/support, as well as excitement around a new product that you can get early access to.

(note: highlights are spots where I think they hit the needle on the head, whether it’s talking about pain points, origin story, gratitude.etc)
(side note: messages from founders absolutely crush it, and is something you should test if you haven’t already, but make sure not to abuse it)
(side side note: since it’s a plain text email, it’s almost definitely inboxing better)
AND THEN THE BEST PART (right under the founder’s message)

A ‘email thread conversation’ between the founder and one of her team members, where the team member is almost ‘giddy’ with excitement about the new product, and where the benefits are reiterated.
This gives the reader an ‘almost inside look’ (although manufactured) into the behind the scenes of the product, and endears them to the brand even more.
I’m pretty certain this was a successful launch :)
And that’s a wrap!
I think one of the ‘problems’ with email marketing is that everybody starts doing the same thing, once something has been ‘proven to be working’.
It’s a smart business decision, but I’m sure it also gets tiring and repetitive for the consumer.
And that’s why its emails like this that feel like a breath of fresh air, and help build that cult following as the brand scales upwards.
Hope this helps with inspiration if you’re launching a product this BFCM/Q4, and we’ll see you on the next one :)
